In Her Shoes is an organization that promotes moving past fear to accomplish goals. It is a female-led global endeavor that focuses on social impact. Judith Martinez was inspired to start the company when she was accepted into law school and realized it was not what she wanted after all. She decided to focus on her actual goals rather than what society expected of her.
One example of how this company inspires girls and women to reach for their dreams is the Catalyze Courage Summit. It is meant for female high school students driven to move beyond their fear to accomplish their goals. At the summit, a diverse group of women gathers to answer the central question posed by In Her Shoes - what would you do if you were 1% more courageous? On top of high school students, the summit is attended by female CEOs, entrepreneurs, and others who make an actual difference in the world.
This organization also has both workshops and retreats to offer the community. They are curated to the group they are being presented to, but all focus on pushing further and accomplishing goals. They have half-day and full-day workshops, along with weekend retreats.
