Body Styles & Equipment Offerings

The 2017 Frontier is offered in King Cab and Crew Cab body styles, as well as 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. It is further broken down into five trim levels: S, SV, Desert Runner, Pro-4X and SL. A collection of features are available on each model and are designed to meet drivers' needs.

A 2.5L four-cylinder, generating 152 horsepower and 171 lb.-ft. of torque, is standard on extended cab S and SV models. They can be paired with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic.

A 4.0L V6, delivering 261 horsepower and 281 lb.-ft. of torque, is optional on the SV and standard on the remainder of the extended cab lineup. The Desert Runner and SL come strictly with an automatic engine, while the others can also be fitted with a six-speed manual.

When properly equipped, the Frontier can tow up to 3,500 pounds with the four-cylinder. The V6 can tow up to 6,500 pounds.

Safety Components

Every Frontier model gets a rearview camera and rear parking sensors except the S, SV four-cylinder and Desert Runner models.
