2017 Nissan Pathfinder Features & Updates

Standard with front-wheel drive, the Pathfinder is available in four trims this year: S, SV, SL and Platinum. All-wheel drive variants are also offered for those in need of a little more support while on the road. A great assortment of standard features can be found on all models, including keyless ignition/entry, rear privacy glass, roof rails, tri-zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera and Bluetooth connectivity. An 8-inch touchscreen is also fitted on each trim this year and a Motion-Activated liftgate is now offered on SL and Platinum trims.

In addition to these features, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder in Cerritos is offered in two new paint colors: Sandstone and Caspian Blue. The interior of the SUV also gets new cloth materials on S and SV models.

Greater Performance

The Pathfinder's new 3.5L V6 engine is truly impressive. It offers 284 horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque, which are significant increases compared to last year's model. Paired with a Direct Injection Gasoline system, the engine delivers greater performance across all models.

A CVT transmission is matched to the V6, supporting its offerings. With this setup, front-wheel drive models produce an EPA-estimated 23 mpg combined, 20 city and 27 highway, while all-wheel drive models deliver an EPA-estimated 22 mpg combined, 19 city and 26 highway.

Safety Amenities

Several driver-assist technologies are offered on the Pathfinder, including Blind Spot Warning, Forward Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Around View Monitor. Praised in many 2017 Nissan Pathfinder reviews, these systems are designed to help reduce avoidable accidents, keeping drivers and passengers safe while cruising the open road.
