2017 Nissan GT-R Overview

The Nissan GT-R and GT-R NISMO have each received updates for the new model year. Both cars have undergone slight exterior modifications and come equipped with new interior features. The standard 2017 Nissan GT-R in Cerritos dons a new V-motion grille, hood and rear bodywork. It also receives a sturdier structure and character lines that improve its overall appearance.

The GT-R NISMO also gets a V-motion grille, along with a new front end and front fascia. A reinforced hood helps it to perform at optimal levels at high speeds and modified side skirts boost airflow.

Be sure to take a look at our 2017 Nissan GT-R review below for additional information about the new model.

The GT-R is offered in one Premium trim. For 2017, the sports car comes with a number of interior upgrades that enhance the in-car experience.

A redesigned cabin with Nappa leather, a new instrument panel, a simplified dashboard layout with less buttons, Display Command control and an 8-inch touchscreen can be found in the 2017 Nissan GT-R in Cerritos. Buyers can choose to drape the cabin in a new Rakuda Tan leather interior color, which complements the new enhancements.

In the GT-R NIMSO, you'll also find a redesigned dashboard with a reduction in buttons, Alcantara suede on the steering wheel, Display Command control and an 8-inch touchscreen. Leather-appointed Recaro seats with red synthetic suede inserts are also present.

V6 Delivers Raw Power

A turbocharged 3.8L V6 is fitted on the GT-R and GT-R NISMO. On the former model, it delivers 565 horsepower and 467 lb.-ft. of torque, and is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic. The GT-R NISMO outputs 600 horsepower and 481 lb.-ft. of torque, and matches the engine with the same transmission.

With each of these setups, the Nissan GT-R is one of the quickest cars in its class.

Standard Safety Equipment

Antilock brakes, stability control, traction control and airbags are the main components on the GT-R. It also comes with rear parking sensors and a rearview camera, which have been highlighted in several 2017 Nissan GT-R reviews. Each of these components help prevent avoidable accidents from occurring, keeping passengers secure.
