The Versa sees many changes for 2020. It continues to be a reliable and affordable car that people fell in love with but adds more flare this year. The exterior design has been reconfigured to leave the Versa looking sleeker. It is similar in design to the new Altima, only smaller. Inside the cabin, drivers will now find a push-button start and a remote keyless entry. Another change for 2020 is how much horsepower you can get from the engine. The extra 13-hp will give the Versa that extra zip to make it even more fun to drive.
Drivers have three different well-equipped trim levels to select from with the 2020 Nissan Versa. The entry-level model is known as the S. This Versa gives you many advanced safety features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, standard. Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, and a 7" touchscreen as standard as well.
The SV will give you, even more, to love inside of your new Versa. It adds both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easy for your vehicle and smartphone to communicate with each other. The SV has heated exterior mirrors. This trim level also adds NissanConnect to the infotainment system for even more convenient features. Finally, the SR trim gives you things such as a rear spoiler, larger 17" aluminum-alloy wheels, and LED daytime running lights as well as LED headlights.
All three trim levels of the 2020 Versa are powered by the exact same engine. It is a 1.6L 16-Valve 4-Cylinder and it produces 122-horsepower on top of 114 lb-ft of torque. The S trim level is available with a 5-speed manual transmission. You can also have the S with an XTRONIC CVT, which is what comes standard on the SV and SR trim levels. The 2020 Nissan Versa is a front-wheel-drive vehicle.
One of the things that really stands out about this vehicle is the amount of standard advanced safety features. Every version of the Versa will give you High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking, and the previously mentioned Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. Electing to go with the SV trim level will add Spot Warning to this already impressive list. All versions of the Versa also have a handy Tire Pressure Monitoring System that features an individual tire pressure display in addition to an easy-fill tire alert.
