Nissan Reveals Z GT4 Race Car

Nissan has unveiled the Z GT4, a race car for amateur and professional drivers.

Based on the Nissan 370Z road car, the GT4-spec Z has been developed by NISMO, Nissan's motorsports arm. It features a new chassis, a 450-horsepower engine, and racing tires.

The Z GT4 is eligible to compete in several GT4 series, including the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and Pirelli World Challenge. It will make its race debut at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in May.

The Nissan Z GT4 is a race car for enthusiasts who want to take their driving to the next level. With more power, a track-specific chassis, and race-ready rubber, it offers the performance and handling you need to compete with the best.

Race Like a Pro With the Nissan Z GT4

People first saw the Nissan Z GT4 when it was shown in September, but it formally debuted at the 2022 SEMA show. The vehicle has been heavily modified for racing. It has a much more powerful engine and is much lighter than the road car.

Pilot customer teams will compete next year. Still, Nissan will open orders in the middle of 2023. It allows teams to compete in the series and see how the car performs before purchasing one.

Nissan's new GT4 car results from the NISMO motorsports division's hard work. The car features a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 like the regular Z, but it has modifications to push out 450 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. So what you have is an increase of 93 pound-feet and 50 horses. It makes the GT4 car one of the most powerful in its class.

The GT4-spec Z's chassis has been tuned for competition specifically. It also has a substantial rear wing. It is equipped with Brembo brakes, and the racing tires are sticky, sitting on 18-inch rims. They are 10.5 inches wide in the front and 11 inches wide in the back.
